EGUN (ADUN AWON ORISA)

Egúngún (Ara Ọ̀run, Baba Àwọn Àgbà) is a masterful contemporary exploration of ancestral masquerade, cosmic continuity, and the living breath of departed bloodlines. Within Yoruba cosmology, Egúngún stands at the precise boundary between the living plane and the celestial realm of the forebears—fearless, wise, unpredictable, and fiercely just. He is the sovereign vehicle of historical legacy, ensuring that ancestral wisdom, guidance, and generational power are structurally carried and understood. This visual composition serves as a profound reminder that bloodline memories command a consequence, and every ancestral cloak holds an intentional turning.

Rooted in the historic Osogbo art lineage, the work utilizes a rigorous multi-layered technique. The composition begins as a raw pencil layout grid, meticulously traced with graphic ink arrays, anchored with deep acrylic styling, and finally detailed using a precision calligraphy pen to construct high-contrast, monochromatic geometric bands.

Egúngún is exclusively represented across international markets by FAH Agency. This master study is scheduled for its physical debut at the Central London Solo Showcase in November 2026 and acts as a foundational blueprint for the landmark ISEDA ODU (2027) global initiative mapping the 16 Major Odù. This acquisition is natively backed by a verified digital twin blockchain signature to guarantee permanent global provenance.

“Egúngún Kíkí Egún, Ara Ọ̀run Kìn-ìn, Baba Gbogbo Modé. Eégún Aláṣẹ — May the guiding light of your ancestors protect your lineage.”
